Hey everyone,
RubyConf Austria 2026 is taking place on May 29-31 in Vienna at the stunning Das MuTh Theatre, one of the most modern concert halls in the city.
The lineup is incredible: Dave Thomas (author of The Pragmatic Programmer) delivering the closing keynote, Chad Fowler opening the conference, José Valim (creator of Elixir) joining a panel discussion, Vladimir Dementiev on pattern matching, Bozhidar Batsov on RuboCop 2.0, and many more. What makes this conference unique is the blend of technical talks with musical performances — piano recitals, the Vienna Boys’ Choir, and even a jazz session with Chad Fowler. It’s a truly one-of-a-kind Ruby event.
The program spans 3 days: Day 1 features a Vienna.rb meetup and panel discussion (limited to 130 people), Day 2 is the main single-track conference day (400-seat venue, 13 talks + 2 workshops), and Day 3 offers social activities including a Kahlenberg hike.
Proud to share that Ruby Türkiye is one of the official Community Partners of the conference!
Great to see the Turkish Ruby community represented on the European Ruby stage.
I’m also planning to be there, so would love to meet up with fellow Rubyists!
